St Lucia has its fair share of beautiful beaches and fantastic resorts for you to discover, but if you’re not a beach person there are still so many different/unusual things to do in St Lucia that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Eat Fruit from a tree

There’s something very different from eating fruit from a tree in comparison to buying it fresh from a supermarket. Saint Lucia has delicious fruit hanging from trees nearly all year round and if you can find ripe mangos, you’re just in luck. Although we do have to warn you that once you try the delicious fresh mango from a St Lucian tree, the packaged fruit back at home just won’t be nearly as good.

Visit Castries Market

Located in the capital head to Castries Market in St Lucia where you can enjoy a fantastic day out. Here you can find plenty of delicious fruit, fresh fish, meat and lots of other naturally produced food in the Caribbean island. It is a fantastic thing to do in St Lucia and we are sure your taste buds will love the traditional cuisine that can be found here.

Enjoy the sunset at The Naked Fisherman

Trying to think of what else to do in St Lucia? If you love sunsets as much as we do here, then you should definitely make time for The Naked Fisherman.  Here you can sit back and relax while watching the sun dip into the Caribbean ocean while enjoying some delicious drinks (yes they really are amazing!). He also sells delicious fresh fish from the grill that will certainly leave you wanting more.

Visit the Local Bakery

Nothing compares to heading towards the local bakery and trying one of the many freshly baked pastries in St Lucia. Miss Theresa’s Bakery is very popular in Saint Lucia because of all the delicious items that are available here. They’re so popular that they normally sell out by 8 a.m! Treats vary from sweet bread with coconut and cinnamon to coconut biscuits with mixed spices, sounds delicious right?

Drive through Volcano?

Yes you read correctly, St Lucia is home to Soufriere Volcano which is considered as the only “drive-in” volcano in the world. Past the smell of rotten eggs is a fantastic experience for all at this popular tourist attraction in St Lucia. You are able to do a St Lucia Volcano walking tour where you can walk around the dormant volcano as well hiking and many more excursions.

Also here are hot springs and mud baths which are a lot of fun and something you must do when in St Lucia. These bathing pools have fantastic therapeutic qualities for your skin despite the not-so-nice smell. Your skin will thank you after a quick dip, although we can’t promise that you’ll be clean after.
