DAY 1-2
New York
Day 1 - Arrive in the city that never sleeps, New York, and independently transfer to your hotel. This will be where you'll meet you ATI Tour Director.
Day 2 - Spend the morning enjoying a city tour highlighting some of the most famous sights of Manhattan. Catch glimpses of the famous skyline as you take in the bustle and atmosphere of the Big Apple. Take the rest of the day at your leisure with your ATI Tour Director on hand to assist you in making plans. Choose to take a stroll through Central Park, capture panoramic views on a Manhattan Helicopter Tour (optional) or hit the shops for some retail therapy.
DAY 3
New York - Finger Lakes - Niagara Falls
Drive across the state of New York making way through the Finger Lakes Country and towards the Canadian boarder, arriving at one of the world's natural wonders, Niagara Falls. Enjoy a bit of wine-tasting at Watkins Glen located on the shores of Lake Seneca and spend the evening at the romantic Niagara Falls.
DAY 4
Niagara Falls - Amish Country
Use the morning to discover the Falls with the choice to take a ride aboard Hornblower Cruises along the base of the Falls continued with lunch overlooking the falls (optional). Or maybe take a relaxing stroll along Table Rock to view the thundering waters of the Horseshoe Falls. Later depart Niagara and travel into Pennsylvania Dutch country, also known as Amish Country, for an overnight stay.
DAY 5
Amish Country - Gettysburg - Washington DC
Start the day travelling through the Appalachian Mountains along the picturesque Susquehanna River, the longest river on the American East Coast. Explore the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground which is the site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil and the place where President Lincoln give his famous address in 1893. You will then journey to the nation's capital, Washington DC., where you get the option to enjoy a memorable evening tour and dinner.
DAY 6
Washington DC
Tour the Nationals Capitol and its sights including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the JFK Memorial. Use the rest of the day to explore some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or just take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Potomac River.
DAY 7
Washington DC - Philadelphia
We will continue our journey to Philadelphia, the "City of Brotherly Love"and the birthplace of America, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. This is where you will see the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell on a comprehensive city tour.
DAY 8
Philadelphia - New York
This morning we return to New York City.
Arrival at Newark Airport: approximately 10:30am
Arrival at JFK Airport: approximately 12:00am
Arrival Manhattan Hotel: approximately 16:00
