About Thailand
As soon as you step off the plane in Thailand, you’ll know you’re in the land of smiles as you’ll be greeted with smiley and happy faces. The country is friendly and fun-loving, it’s full of history and a vibrant culture; whether you love relaxing on the beach or exploring huge street markets, there’s something for everyone on holidays to Thailand.
A Thailand holiday wouldn’t be complete without a trip to its bustling capital, Bangkok. You can’t miss visiting the Grand Palace – a huge Buddhist temple - while you’re there. Take a trip to Wat Phra Kaeo, a palace that is home to the world-famous Emerald Buddha. As Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country, these glorious, colourful temples will be all over the country and whether you’re religious or not, they are well worth a visit. One of the most popular attractions in Bangkok is the abundance of markets dotted around the city; make sure you visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market and Sampeng Market for all of your shopping needs and incredible street food!
If you enjoy visiting the beach then a cheap holiday to Thailand should definitely on your bucket list, you will find some of the most beautiful and serene beaches in the world here! In the Krabi province alone, you can enjoy 150km worth of shoreline, most of which boasts stunning backdrops that are ideal for sipping cocktails by the sea. Travel to the Khao Lak area and discover the stunning national parks that are lined with shorelines, a different way to experience the beach in Thailand! If you visit Phuket then you’ll get the best of both worlds with quiet, secluded beaches in Mai Khao and 24/7 party beaches in Patong.
Deciding where to go on a holiday to Thailand can prove to be difficult, do you want to stay and explore the city? Or do you want a Thailand beach holiday? With a multi-centre holiday you can get the best of both worlds. You choose where to go and we’ll make it happen, stay one week in Bangkok and then relax on a beach in Phuket for a week. That way you’ll get the best of both worlds and won’t have to worry about missing out on anything while you’re there!
Thailand has three main seasons: Rainy, which runs from roughly May – October and is considered the most unpredictable season as it varies in length and intensity from year to year. It’s worth considering that the rain will not be constant during these months, a downpour can range anything between 10 minutes to an hour. The cool season, which is from November – February is the most pleasant time to go and temperatures can still reach 30°C in the middle of the day. The hot season is a great time to go on holiday to Thailand if you want to spend most of your time on the beautiful beaches. It runs from March – May and temperatures can often rise to 35°C, which may be uncomfortable if you’re planning to spend a lot of time in Bangkok or the neighbouring cities.
