New attractions coming to Orlando, Florida!

Orlando is full of exciting theme parks, all with plenty of room for expansion and updates to keep the whole family up-to-date with fresh entertainment. Here are just a few of the new attractions that are coming to Orlando in the next few years.

Walt Disney World

Toy Story Land

Ahead of the release of Toy Story 4, coming to cinemas this summer, Walt Disney World has unveiled the park’s newest attraction, Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios. With elements of our favourite characters, take a ride on the twists and turns of Slinky Dog Dash, which passes the gigantic toys all over Andy’s back garden. Or go out of this world with the aliens from the film on the Alien Swirling Saucers. Take a look inside Andy’s room and have a go at various exciting games featuring various characters. Grab some Toy Story themed specialties and other snacks from Woody’s Lunch Box.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy

For racers of all ages, Walt Disney World has opened Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at Hollywood studios. Understand what it takes to be a champion racer at Sunset Showcase. Beginning with a demonstration from Lightning as he shows what he’s learned from years of racing in the new racing simulator and wraparound screen. Join in with car’s inspired games with DJ as he revs up the party with his playlist of music.

Epcot

Exciting things are coming to Epcot as it undergoes a massive transformation. With new details released for several different attractions, you’ll want to make sure Epcot is on your list of places to visit. New Guardians of the Galaxy inspired attraction is set to be a “storytelling coaster” bringing you the immersive journey of a storyline merged with the thrills of a rollercoaster. Opening in Future World at Epcot, the attraction will be one of the longest enclosed rollercoasters and is planned to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.

A night time spectacular show is expected to open at Epcot in 2020 to celebrate how Disney music has inspired people across the world. The extravagant show will feature floating set pieces, LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, pyrotechnics and lasers. This will be an exciting sight to see!

Universal

Fast & Furious – Supercharged

Newly opened ride, Fast & Furious Supercharged gives the opportunity to see elements from the big screen. Venture into a recreation of the crew’s HQ, filled with props and supercharged vehicles from the movie. Take a ride with the characters in a thrilling street chase in the world of the Fast & Furious movies. Build up excitement for the ride by playing the in-App games whilst waiting in line. Use the app to get to know the team, car stats, unlock messages from the crew and test your knowledge.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

Opening June 2019, this exciting new addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will take you on a new adventure with Hagrid as your guide taking you deep into the Forbidden Forest and beyond the grounds of Hogwarts castle. Ensure to keep your eyes peeled with this ride as you face new obstacles and encounter fierce beasts you’ve never seen before.

 

Legoland

The Lego Movie World

The all new Lego Movie World has been added to Legoland to keep the kids entertained by involving elements and characters from the film. Help to protect Bricksburg in the Battle of Brickburg by spraying down the alien invaders. Things could get wet! Explore Benny’s Play Ship, which is spaced themed before you prepare and countdown to take off. Make a trip to Emmet’s Super Suit and get to meet some of the characters from the movie. Be transported all over the Lego Movie universe on a Triple Double Decker Flying Couch in the Masters of Flight ride.
